Summer Writing Camps for Students

Summer Writing Camps

Elementary (3rd-5th) Covers note-taking, paragraph construction, story writing and short reports. Camp cost includes one Usborne IL Discovery title: Sharks, Space, Knights, Trains, Whales and Dolphins, or Explorers.

$40.00 per 4-day session

June 15-18, 1:00 pm-3:00 pm

Middle School (6th-8th) Covers note-taking and paragraph construction, book critiques, reports, and essays. Students will choose a topic, research, and write about it during the camp, using an issue of Learning through History Magazine.

$40.00 per 4-day session

June 15-18, 10:00 am-12:00 pm

High School (9th-12th) Tips and tricks for reports and research papers; responding to prompts in timed essays. Students will choose a topic, research, and write about it during the camp, using an issue of Learning through History Magazine.

4-day camp - $50.00

June 15-18, 3:30 pm-5:30 pm

All skills and techniques introduced are based on Andrew Pudewa's Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW). No prior experience with IEW is required. Parents are welcome to sit in on any and all sessions. Camps will be held at my home in Lowell, about 25 minutes east of Grand Rapids.
